About
Meet Dr. Emma Sachs
Dr. Emma Sachs is a board-certified family physician and the founder of Valley View Direct Primary Care in Eugene, Oregon. With a lifelong passion for medicine and community care, she built this practice to offer personalized, accessible healthcare grounded in trust, compassion, and long-term relationships.
Dr. Sachs was born in Seattle and raised in West Chester, Pennsylvania. She returned to the Pacific Northwest for her undergraduate education at The Evergreen State College. She received her medical degree from the Western University of Health Sciences – College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific Northwest, followed by a residency in family medicine at Maine-Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency. She brings specialized training in geriatrics, women’s health, osteopathic manipulation, mental health, and preventative care.
Since 2019, she has served patients in Eugene with a hands-on, whole-person approach. When she’s not in the clinic, you’ll find her gardening, hiking, cooking, or spending time with her family and friends.

What is Direct Primary Care (DPC)?
DPC is a monthly membership model that gives you full access to your doctor — without insurance middlemen. You get more time with your physician, clear pricing, and fewer barriers to care.
Do you take insurance?
No — and that’s by design. We work directly for you, not your insurance provider. That means no billing headaches or rushed visits.
Do I still need insurance?
Yes. We recommend pairing DPC with a high-deductible or catastrophic plan for hospital visits, emergencies, or specialty care. You can also pair DPC with Medicare. We will not bill Medicare- but you can use this for specialists, medications, labs etc.
Can I use my HSA (health savings account) to cover membership costs?
Yes! (Please also doublecheck with your tax advisor).
